Development of distribution footprint, optimizing e-fulfillment network for BCC. Development of warehouse and logistical infrastructure.
Development of a distribution footprint in the Netherlands for BCC, based on offensive and defensive commercial scenarios. Exploring maximum storage capacity of the actual warehouse and identify short term and long term storage solutions in order to facilitate growth in both volumes and assortment. Introducing cross dock concepts combined with LZV vehicles enabling BCC to minimize delivery times and acceptable distribution costs.
Development of financial business case with focus on logistics investments, one off benefits and costs and running costs. BCC is one of the largest and most succesful electro retailers in the Netherlands with over fifty stores including an advanced internet store.
Supporting BCC through the supply of the manager ‘Bedrijfsbureau’
For six months Districon helped out BCC by supplying them with a temporary manager for the ‘Bedrijfsbureau’ department. This department is responsible for the inbound planning, the startup in which the pickup planning for the distribution center is produced and the creation of routes for all home delivery and installation jobs.
