Cargo terminal process redesign
One of the larger air cargo handlers at Schiphol was assisted with improving its operational handling processes. The objective was to further increase the customer service performance and to decrease the handling costs. Part of this assignment was the design and implementation of the complete process, handling equipment, control systems and planning systems. Additionally a separated personnel planning system, which calculated different shift systems and minimized the number of labour people per shift per handling activity, was developed.
